Azure Data Engineer – Netherlands – Amsterdam

As a Data Engineer, you will play a vital role in setting up data flows from applications to our Data Lake and Data Warehouse, implementing and maintaining ETL jobs, ensuring optimal performance of data platforms, translating user data needs into high-performance solutions, and ensuring the quality of managed data on our platforms.

Responsibilities:

● Contribute to the migration of our existing Data Warehouse to the Azure environment, ensuring a seamless transition and optimal performance in the new environment.

● Collaborate on the maintenance and enhancement of the future Data Warehouse in Azure, proactively identifying and implementing improvements.

● Set up efficient and reliable data flows from applications to our Data Lake and Data Warehouse, ensuring data accuracy and integrity throughout the process.

● Implement and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs, ensuring efficient data processing and integration within the data platforms.

● Guarantee optimal performance of the data platforms, monitoring and identifying areas for improvement and proactively intervening where necessary.

● Translate user data needs into high-performance solutions, leveraging the capabilities of Azure Datastage, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL, and other relevant tools.

● Ensure the quality of the data managed on our data platforms, implementing and maintaining data quality checks and data governance practices.

Requirements:

● Proven experience with Azure Datastage, Synapse, Data Factory, SQL, and Power BI, showcasing your ability to design and implement effective data engineering solutions.

● Strong expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and data integration techniques.

● Familiarity with Azure cloud services and technologies, demonstrating proficiency in leveraging Azure data platform components.

● Solid understanding of data quality principles and data governance practices.

● Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently, managing priorities and delivering high-quality results.

● Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
