Senior Embedded Software Engineer – 12+ months contract – Gothenburg, Sweden

Are you an expert in embedded systems, passionate about telematics, and excited to work on next-generation vehicle connectivity platforms? My client is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their fast paced team.

As a key player in our team, you will develop an onboard information system that seamlessly communicates with vehicle systems and external back-office systems. You will contribute to the core functionalities like Fleet Management, Uptime services, and other connected vehicle services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop embedded software for telematics products and services.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of vehicle systems.

  • Share expertise and drive knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.

  • Lead technical investigations into new technologies and methodologies.

  • Participate in requirement gathering, subsystem verification, and product testing.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • A technically adept software developer with a passion for embedded systems and product development.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

  • 10+ years of experience in modern C++ development.

  • Proficiency in Python and Yocto/Open Embedded.

  • Solid experience with Embedded Linux (including configuration, patching, and debugging).

  • Strong understanding of communication protocols such as MQTT.

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

Meriting:

  • Experience in REST APIs, concept development, Adaptive Autosar, and Android OS.

  • Knowledge of SOME/IP, CAN/CAnalyzer, security practices, and SIL/HIL testing.

  • Background in the automotive or telecommunications industries.
