Senior Embedded Software Engineer – Linux, Yocto – Tampere
Our client is a Finnish technology company that specialises in real-time decision-making applications for vehicles, cars, and industry. Their technology combines sensor data with artificial intelligence to enable real-time steering of devices and processes. They are now looking for a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement embedded software
Collaborate with domain experts to understand their needs and translate them into software requirements.
Work closely with other developers and team members to ensure the quality and performance of the software.
Review schematics and read datasheets to understand hardware components.
Write technical documentation to communicate design decisions and software functionality.
Work with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Work productively in a team environment and manage tasks independently.
Ensure the security and reliability of software by understanding software security, device hardening, and secure boot.
Bring-up support and debugging of hardware.
Requirements:
Familiarity with real-time systems development, embedded Linux, Yocto, bootloaders and device drivers, and understanding on FPGAs.
Familiarity with SW development related to RF/Modem or signal processing technologies.
Good knowledge and skills with scripting languages such as Python, Matlab.
MSc or BSc in software development, computer science, or a related field.
Previous work experience in embedded software development.
Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps.
Fluent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills in English.
