Freelance Opportunity: Machine Learning Research Consultant

A fast-growing tech company is seeking a freelance Machine Learning (ML) Research Consultant to help elevate its core ML capabilities. ML is at the heart of their product offering, so this is a high-impact role with real influence. The ideal candidate is curious, pragmatic, and excited by applied ML challenges. You’ll be expected to keep a pulse on the latest research, improve current systems, and collaborate closely with fellow ML engineers and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities

• Own key components of the ML research agenda

• Shape and execute a roadmap to advance modelling capabilities in alignment with product goals

• Share insights and collaborate with the broader data team

• Drive hands-on development of ML solutions

Requirements

• Advanced degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related field

• Strong experience with Python and ML libraries (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras)

• Proven track record in delivering ML projects from concept to deployment

• High standards, self-motivated, strong communicator, and team-oriented

• Eagerness to take initiative and ownership
