Senior Mechanical Engineer 

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden 

Contract position- 12 months with possibility to extend

Our client is a leading Automotive company with a Global presence. They are currently looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Gothenburg.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the design of various areas within High Voltage Junction boxes, focusing particularly on busbars and thermal insulation materials.
• Develop innovative design ideas to make our hardware more cost-effective and efficient.
• Work closely with colleagues within the electromobility team and other departments within the company and other business areas.
• Collaborate with both internal and external teams, including production and suppliers, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including 2D drawings and CAD models.
• Address and resolve design challenges promptly to keep projects on track.
• Ensure designs meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• At least a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Physics.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design within the automotive industry.
• Specific experience in the design of high and low voltage distribution boxes, with a focus on busbars and thermal interface materials.
• Proficiency in CAD design (Creo is meriting).
• Strong skills in 2D drawings and tolerance stack analysis.
• Technical knowledge in electromobility products, systems, and components.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English.
• Solution and innovation-oriented team player with the ability to make decisions based on facts and engineering judgment.
• A proactive problem solver who thrives in the fast-paced environment of the Electromobility field.
