System Safety Engineer (6 Month Contract)

Location: Gothenburg, Sweden 

Our client is looking for an experienced System Safety Engineer to join their growing team. Our client is a leading Automotive company operating in Sweden.

Responsibilities: 

• Create Safety Case adhering to ISO 26262 standards within vehicle projects.
• Participate in system/functional safety planning and management for vehicle projects.
• Assist in reviewing safety-relevant concepts and solutions.
• Collaborate in System Safety Joint Reviews with suppliers for vehicle projects.
• Aid in the development and upkeep of processes, guidelines, and templates.

Requirements: 

• Holds an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Proficient in handling function/system/component/vehicle level functional safety within the automotive sector, encompassing tasks such as safety case development, Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), Functional Safety Concept (FSC), Technical Safety Concept (TSC), System Safety Joint Reviews (SSJR), and comprehensive planning and management.
• Thorough understanding of relevant industry standards and best practices, including ISO 26262.
• Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, architecture, and software.
• Desirable to possess a strong comprehension of Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF).
