Salary Range: $90,000 – $100,000 year

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and be responsible for programming and integrating moderate to advanced control systems including PLC, OIT, HMI. You will also partake in some troubleshooting and technical support for field control systems.

You will work independently to deliver projects on time and within budget, while also mentoring junior team members and participating in quality control reviews to uphold strong programming standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

System Programming: Develop PLC, OIT, and SCADA system programs, integrating control systems including PLC, OIT, HMI, reporting, and alarming software.
Troubleshooting & Support: Conduct troubleshooting of field control systems and provide technical support in resolving equipment and process issues.
Commissioning: carry out system startup activities on assigned projects.
Documentation & Reporting: Compile standard reports of completed actions for regular submission to the Programming Manager.
Mentorship: Provide mentoring support to less experienced programmers on the team.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in PLC/OIT/HMI programming or related roles.
Technical Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of PLC programming languages and HMI software.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Independence: Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and stay within budget parameters on an ongoing basis.
