Data Engineer – Permanent | Brussels (Hybrid)

A fast-growing European technology company is looking for a Data Engineer to join its international data team and help scale its modern AWS-based data platform.

You’ll play a key role in developing a mature, domain-driven data warehouse using a Bronze / Silver / Gold medallion architecture, supporting both analytics and AI-driven applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Refactor and standardise Bronze and Silver layers

• Reduce technical debt and implement data quality frameworks

• Design and build domain-oriented Gold layer datasets

• Develop scalable data products for analytics, BI, and AI use cases

• Build and optimise pipelines using Databricks and/or AWS Glue (PySpark)

• Develop AI-ready data infrastructure (vectorisation, embeddings, LLM pipelines)

• Work closely with business and domain data owners

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer

• Strong Python & SQL, Pyspark skills

• Experience building production-grade data pipelines

• Understanding of data governance and data quality

• Exposure or strong interest in AI/ML data preparation (nice to have)

• Analytical, pragmatic, and business-focused mindset

• Fluent English
